The University

The University of São Paulo (USP) is the largest higher education and research institution in Brazil and a leading university in Latin America.

The Department of Economics at the School of Economics, Administration and Accounting (FEA) is one of the oldest and leading departments of economics in Brazil. It has more than 70 faculty members and offers B.A., Master's and Ph.D. degrees in economics.

São Paulo City:

São Paulo is one of the largest cities in the world, with over 18 million people in its metropolitan area, and the heart of the Brazilian economy.

A cosmopolitan city, São Paulo has a diversified population composed of descendants of Portuguese, Italians, Germans, Spaniards, Japanese, Lebanese, among others. The city offers a host of attractions, restaurants and places to visit. São Paulo is served by the two busiest airports in Brazil (Guarulhos International Airport and Congonhas), with plenty of flight options to and from abroad, and to all major cities in Brazil. Unfortunately, trains neither serve the airports nor are an option for visiting nearby cities.
