Postgraduate System - Janus
Janus is the academic system of the USP Postgraduate Programs. It consolidates information from programs, professors, and students. The Janus System is used for enrollment in courses, monitoring enrollment (“matricula de acompanhamento”), consultation of the courses catalog courses offered in the period, and consultation of the student’s record/school record. The system also provides information on the deadlines for completing each stage (qualification and defense), in addition to issuing documents, such as enrollment certificates and completion of courses.
Go to uspdigital.usp.br and select “Create Unique Password” to register with your USP number. ATTENTION: be sure to provide an email in the on-site enrollment, as it is necessary to create the unique password. If an error occurs in your initial registration, please contact the FEA Postgraduate Office, 2nd floor of the FEA-05 building, room 213.
USP card and e-card
The student must request the smart card through the Janus system. Access USP Cards in the Janus system; request the card, and upload the photo with a white background. Card issuing is subject to authorization by the FEA Postgraduate Office. After being sent to the USP Department of Informatics, the card will be issued within approximately 30. After this period, the student must pick it up at the Postgraduate Office, on the 2nd floor of the FEA-05 building, room 213.
The e-card application is available on the PlayStore and AppStore and can be obtained immediately after issuing of the physical card has been authorized. Students can use the e-card before the physical card has been issued.
To create the USP email (and access to other Google tools), interested parties must access id.usp.br, with the USP number at hand. All students must have a USP email, which will be used in all communications between the coordination, SPG/FEA, and students, so please consult it frequently.
Wireless access (Wireless USP)
To obtain access to the USPNet/eduroam network, interested parties should access semfio.usp.br and create the password using the USP number. USP’s campuses have wireless broadband internet access from various points, such as amphitheaters, auditoriums, libraries, leisure areas, and others. These locations are properly identified.
The VPN (Virtual Private Network) service provides connectivity to the USP network from any computer connected to the Internet. The VPN service allows access to USP databases and journals.
Users who have an account with the Dial-up Access or USPnet Wireless service are automatically enabled with VPN access with the same login and password.
USP professors, employees, and undergraduate and postgraduate students can configure access according to the tutorials available on the website.

The collection was started in 1942 to meet the needs of the DSP employees - Department of Public Service, located in the Palace of the Government of the State of São Paulo. In 1944, the service was expanded and started to be used by other public servants, students, professors, technicians, and the general public.

USP offers, students coming from other cities and of low income students, accommodations in the USP Residential Complex (CRUSP) on the University campus. It consists of seven blocks, two of which are intended for Postgraduate students. As the number of vacancies is lower than the demand, a selection of residents is carried out according to socioeconomic criteria. The number of vacancies depends on the number of former residents who leave CRUSP.
To participate in the selection of residents or to receive aid, the student must follow the schedule on the SAS website at Student Support > Postgraduate. The scholarships for Postgraduate students last up to three years for master’s students and four years for doctorate students and are also renewable annually.
