Mutual collaboration actions between the PPGCC and other programs have been widely sought, including:
FEA has “cross enrollment” agreements with several universities in the country, which try tries to encourage student exchanges between the institutions involved, without any onus on the students.
Pay attention to your USP email, as the enrollment deadlines and procedures are sent by the FEA Graduate Studies Office (FEA-05) at the beginning of each semester.
Important: new students cannot take this type of course in their 1st semester, as enrollments occur before their registration in the Janus system.
Procad and “Casadinho”
PROCAD, the National Academic Cooperation Program, is a CAPES initiative that aims for more mature graduate programs with a three-year evaluation equal to or higher than 5 to support newer programs.
From 2009 to 2012 there was a “casadinho” agreement with the Regional University of Blumenau (FURB) with the aim of promoting joint research on human resources, including professors and students and the infrastructure available at each institution. During this period, students and professors of FURB visited FEA/USP to participate in classes and meetings with coordinators and professors, attend defenses and lectures, and thus exchange experiences with students and professors of the PPGCC.
In 2011, a proposal for another “casadinho” was approved, this time between USP and the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), lasting from 2012 to 2016. Among the research proposal objectives were the consolidation of the Master’s Degree Program in Accounting at UFPR, the strengthening of the management accounting line of research, and, in the long term, the possible opening up of a new line of teaching.
These projects objectively helped to strengthen the partner universities, as the two programs achieved a score of 5 in the last four-year evaluation by CAPES (2017).
Minter and Dinter
Minter/Dinter Interinstitutional are CAPES programs that aim to train qualified human resources for socioeconomic-cultural, scientific-technological, and innovation development.
Proposals for Minter (interinstitutional master’s degrees) and Dinter (interinstitutional doctor’s degree) projects must be submitted to the Prorectorate of Graduate Studies of the teaching or research institution, or equivalent body, exclusively through the SICAPES application (APMinter/Dinter), observing the calendar set annually by CAPES for this purpose and subject to CAPES evaluation. The promoting institution must necessarily be responsible for the proposal for the course to be offered by its graduate program, which must meet the requirements and criteria established in a specific call for applications.
These projects aim to enable use of the expertise of graduate programs achieving a score equal to or greater than 5 and recognized by the CNE/MEC, to enable the training of masters and doctors from outside the most consolidated teaching and research centers/regions, based on well-structured forms of partnership or interinstitutional cooperation.
The Dinter between USP and Feira de Santana State University (UEFS), the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Bahia (IFBA), the State University of Bahia (UNEB), the State University of Santa Cruz (UESC), the State University of the Southwest of Bahia (UESB), and the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) in the area of Controllership and Accounting started in the second semester of 2011, with a selection process along the same lines as the regular PPGCC doctor’s degree course, with the course beginning in 2012 and lasting four years. It very successfully trained nine professors acting in public educational institutions in the State of Bahia, substantially changing the teaching staff, with positive effects on teaching and research and in the formation of new programs.
